Robert Chester Smith

Rob is a professional writer and actor (and amateur husband and father.) After his humble origins in a corn field in rural Iowa, he ended up at Northwestern University outside of Chicago, where he earned a degree in applied mathematics. After a few years in Chicago doing a shit-ton of improv, he made is way west to Los Angeles.
For the last however many years he’s been in L.A., he has been acting and writing professionally. On camera, he’s been in a zillion TV commercials, and a few TV shows. As a writer, he has worked on FX Movie Download (for FX Network, oddly enough) for over eighty episodes. Not to mention several award-winning short films. And some less-exciting freelance work that he is proud of but not going to mention.
Rob had a lot of outside interests, like movies and live music and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, but the kids kind of took over that space. Now Rob mostly just drives them around to school and various activities. Look – they’re great. He loves them with all his heart. He’s not complaining or anything. It’s just…jeez. It’s a lot, man.
